Bushiribana Gold Mill Ruins

About

The roofless stone walls of an 1874 gold smelting mill stand right where the north coast surf pounds hardest, a stark shape against the water that catches its best light close to sunset. Aruba had a real gold rush in the 1800s, this and the larger Balashi ruins further south are what is left of it. There are no facilities out here and no shade, so this is a stop on the way to or from somewhere else rather than a destination for a whole afternoon.
